This week we are setting up the car for Phoenix. This 1 mile Tri-oval will put your tires to the test.
Proper camber settings and tire pressures will ensure that you have plenty of rubber left at the end of the fuel run. We want to be there in position to win at the end of the race. Having to pit early because you have not managed your tires will take you out of contention.
As a rule of thumb, A neutral car will have the RF average tire temp 10 degrees hotter than the RR. Matching would be best, but not always achievable.
If it is hotter then you are tight, if it is the same or lower, then you are loose. Read more »
